Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is a role-playing game developed by Media Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is the fourth game in the Story series of games based on the Digimon franchise. In Cyber Sleuth, the player controls a young detective investigating a hacker in the virtual world of EDEN and how the Digimon, a race of virtual monsters, play into the case. DS: CS features over 200 Digimon the player can capture and use in the battle against their opponents. The game was received well by the critics, who praised the complex story and gameplay mechanics. Welcome to the World of Digimon Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth takes the player into the virtual world of EDEN, where the digital monsters, known as Digimon, exist in harmony. The game features a typical JRPG gameplay system, which focuses on the exploration of various dungeons, interacting with various NPCs, and, of course, Digimon battles. There are over 200 digital monsters available in the game, each representing different types (vaccine, virus, data, and free) and possessing different attributes (fire, water, earth, wind, electric, plant, and others). The combat mechanics are similar to those in Nintendo’s Pokémon series - the player and their Digimon partner face off against the opponent in a turn-based battle. Up to three Digimon can be used in battle at once. The result of the fight depends on the player’s Digimon’s level and on types and attributes of monsters they’re fighting against. Winning the battle rewards the player with experience points, which can be spent on leveling up the Digimon. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition features a Digi-Lab where the player can Digivolve their monsters into stronger forms. The Digi-Farm mode of the Digi-Lab allows the player to raise their Digimon by feeding and training them. Discover the mystery of EDEN Aiba is a high school student living in Tokyo with their mother, who works abroad as a journalist.
